Today we traveled from Baton Rouge up to Houston East RV Park, Baytown, total of 246miles. One thing we decided is that you can tell how wealthy a State is by their roads. Louisiana's roads are by far the worst we have traveled on. The one section was so bad, it felt like we had square tyres. Cross the boarder into Texas and feel the difference, wide smooth, beautiful freeways. The traffic was quite heavy, but it was Monday morning, and Louisiana doesn't have any Rest Areas to pull off into. You have to go off the freeway into one of the small towns or gas stops. So 200 odd miles was enough for one day.
It is not the greatest RV park, but it will do for the night. It is situated on the service road of the freeway, so lots of road noise. Hopefully once we close up for the night the noise will be less. There are lots of permanents here, but definitely not low class, there are some pretty fancy trailers, 5th wheelers and a couple of RVs.
Since I made curry and rice last night, tonight is going to be easy supper, frozen pizza, heated in my convection microwave. Maybe tomorrow my man will treat me to a steak dinner in San Antonio.

You are from Africa, you should be used to roads that make your tyres feel square!!!
