Lake Powell AZ

We have just checked into Wahweap Campground, it looks good, but we have no cell phone connections and the Wi-Fi is very flaky.  We are booked in for 2 nights, so there will be a big update next time. Otherwise all is well.

Watch this space!!

We have just discovered that we can connect to the Internet, how good it is, we are not sure, but we will try and get today's blog done.

Today dawned a beautiful day. No wind and glorious sunshine, so off we went.

We drove from Page to the Glen Canyon Dam, as you can see from the pictures, the scenery is out of this world.  We got to the information center just in time to do a tour of the Dam.  Very impressive, reminded us of our tour of Gariep Dam which we did a few years ago.

We then drove to Lake Powell, which is the body of water formed by the Glen Canyon Dam.  It definitely isn't like the last dam we tried to stop over at.  After parking the RV, we walked to the Lodge which is about 1 mile from the campground to book our tickets for the cruise on the lake, we want to do tomorrow.  The campground is very nice, it actually has some trees and is nicely laid out.

So it will be up early for us tomorrow, as we board the boat at 7.30am, after a mile walk to board.
