Rainbow Bridge

The Flintstones Winnebago.

WOW! WOW! WOW!  As I mentioned yesterday, we were going to do a cruise today.

Well, what a cruise.  We boarded the boat at 7.30am and traveled for 2 hours on Lake Powell, up the Colorado River, to the Rainbow Bridge.  As the water level is not high enough, we had to get off the boat and walk about a mile up the canyon to be able to see the Bridge. Words cannot describe what it was like to see not only the Bridge, but all the scenery of the whole trip, there and back.

Alhough it looks like an arch, it is called a bridge, because it was formed by flowing water, unlike arches that are formed by the weather, (wind, rain etc). We then had to walk back to the boat for a 2 hour trip back to the lodge.

I hope our pictures can do it some justice.

PS, Zoom into the track log to see the route from the Rainbow Bridge, no I did not take the RV, only the GPS.
